Price Action Trading requires practitioners to trade on a naked chart and deploy simple tools less technical indicators. Many retail traders developed a bias of over-relying on technical indicators for entry/exit signals, where in fact, they only provide confirmation signals for trades taken or exit. Trading naked gives the clearest indication of where prices might be heading in the future.

In his talk, Kartman, a full-time FX swing trader, shared with our participants his style of price action trading (i.e. using a combination of support & resistance levels, trend lines and Fibonacci Retracement and Extension levels for his profit target and stop loss levels). In addition, Kartman shared some of his insights and experiences of being a full-time trader and how the application of his trading rules would allow one to earn supplemental income.

In this talk, Thomas talked about the myths & realities of trading. He explains how trading for a living is viable in all markets such as bull, bear and sideways and illustrates how it can be done over time to generate a sustainable amount of income.

Thomas also gave a brief description on the different financial instruments available in the markets, which includes Stocks, Options, Futures, CFDs, ETFs and etc. Finally, he illustrates how to structure ones portfolio to best suit their individual needs, be it for retirement or for extra passive income and the potential pitfalls in the market.

Thomas Saw is a practitioner trader and investor with over 2 decades of trading and investing experience. He has actively sought to enlighten and coach his fellow traders and investors on the reality and practicality of trading and investing as a means to their financial freedom.

As a gesture of appreciation for the years of support members have shown to the TRT big family, we had our appreciation night last Friday, 11 May.

It was a small but heartfelt event as members catch up and share their trading ideas.  Our founder, Mr Thomas Saw, also presented a simple token of appreciation to Dr Foo and Dr Hor for their generous contributions to TRT.  Members also got a sneak peek of our upcoming new TRT Academy website as well as an exciting preview of the upcoming courses.

And finally when a community of passionate traders comes together, one thing is for sure. Live trading! The night ended off with a bang as our option veteran cum founder, Thomas, led some of our passionate member traders to battle the US market.
